Prolly so. My only question, was he by himself when he got it upright? Or did he drag it all the way to Andy's house? :monkey:

OK that's two questions.

By himself, I think? I got the call around 9pm last night and had to go pick it up myself.

Lot of iron to be pushing over for one man. Did it come unhitched when it went over?

Yup, but I have loaded it onto the trailer, sans ramps, myself, so no sympathy here.

Yeah, it came off the ball, but the saftey chains held just fine and kept it moving along nicely, only thing he did right.

I remember in drivers ed class that you should stay away from the car in front of you if you are towing a wood splitter - 60 -70 feet for every five miles per hour you are traveling in case you have to stop.

Pulling my splitter behind my pickup freaked me out since I couldn't see it. The manufacturer also says not to tow over 35 MPH.

I bought a cheap Harbor Freight DC winch and mounted it to a steel U beam. I put the U-Beam in front of my pickup bed's wheel wells and pull the splitter up a ramp into the truck bed. Unloading is reverse.

Now thats funny!!!! I wish I had done that, then I could be mad at myself!!! Don't believe me? Ask Utra, I was on the phone with him when I got the call, ask him how happy I was!!
Andy

And BTW: I even broke my F'in finger working on the SOB!!!!!!

If you want to do a small mod while you are working on it. Here is my fix to stop those side supports from bowing when flopping big chunks on them. A little 1/4" plate and a bit of welding and they bend no more.

That is a nice mod there, but it was up to me I'd take 'em off, done got a inger pinched in one once, and most of the time I cut the chunks up small enough they aren't neccesary!
