Not quite a chainsaw but someone may be able to help.

Coil went out a while ago. Tried a choinese one, didnt work - what a surprise. Been sitting for about 3 months now.

Nitty Griitty: Coil part Number is 4140-400-1310 The coil has presented numbers 4140 -1310B (MC2) then 1738 on the bottom of coil.

Dealer has given me , sold me, the suffix 1308 as the replacement. the original part has a smaller spade in the coil so won't fit. Easily fixed.

Before i go on, is this coil likely to work? The number is clearly different. The dealer did not have a listing for a coil with 1310 suffix.

Need serial number of machine to verify. The number you give off the coil does not show in the Stihl parts breakdown. It does show coil numbers.

Hi Stihltech, cant locate the serial number but can confirm it was purchased 2020 - 2021. Its fairly late model one.
