Hi all,

Been reading info from this site for awhile now and decided to finally sign up as I need some help. I picked up an old husky 2100 cd and the oil pump doesn't seem to be working. I took it apart and there seems to be a few things missing based on parts diagrams. Looks like the plug is missing near the suction/discharge end of the pump and a seal/gasket in where the gears are. I would guess these are critical for the pump to work? Any suggestions on where I could get parts or a way to rig something up? Anyone know the size of the o ring on the back of the pump?

Thanks

Do you have parts list ?

Post it with the item you need.

Some parts are still dealer available, some you’ll have to search for

There’s 3 different “O” rings on the pump

There was a thread somewhere with the numbers. I have a photo. I’ll just have to find it

Thanks for the reply. The manual oiler works fine. It's the automatic oiler that a giving me issues. I think I have it narrowed down to the missing plug as it seems to pump if I put my finger over where the plug should be and turn the gears with my finger.

Part number (plug):

Husqvarna 501612101

Seem to be missing this part too (sealing ring):

Husqvarna 501598201

the large oring and small 2 hole gasket rubber are still available from eReplacement Parts.com (but not through my local Husky dealer) as of summer 2018.

Here is a file of notes on the 2100. Oil pump notes are on pages 9-10

do you have the manual and IPL?

Wow Thanks, those notes are great. I am going to try to make a plug out of rubber and see if I can glue it in place. Hopefully that will get the pump working.

I am puzzled on how the clutch side of the oil pump seals as well. Did you ever figure anything out?

Looking at parts diagrams I am missing:

501598201 seal between clutch and pump?

721420325 spring pin? I'm not where this would even go. I do not see a spot for it on the pump.

501292501 possibly a dust protector?

Thanks for the help. All information is helpful

Just wanted to update people. Maybe it will be helpful for someone in the future.

The reason the pump wasn't pumping was because the plastic plug was missing.

The spring pin I believe is just the small inlet and outlet nipples on the pump.

Dust protector is the metal ring pressed into the pump.

The seal is used instead of the v ring depending on the type of clutch/sprocket setup you have.
