husky 272 runs great but no bar oil

I have a husky 272xp. It has a brand new 20 inch bar and chain on it. I went to cut some trees this morning and had no oil getting to the chain. I took the oil pump apart a little while ago and did'nt see anything wrong other than a cracked crankcase seal. Would this seal cause the oil pump not to work or could it be the vent? I'm stumped.
