I'm interested in this saw for cutting up wooden pallets. I currently use a Poulan 1800 top handle to accomplish this task, due to the light weight. I prefer the feel of a rear handle saw though, due to the extra control. What appeals to me about the 336 is the light weight.
I know Echo has a similar rear handle saw, and I've run their 340 and 300 top handled saws, and they seem quite good (well, the 340 anyway). They're probably the easiest starting saw I've ever used.
I know Mike Maas owns a 336 (from another thread) but does anybody else have an opinon of this saw or the Echo? I run a 346xp and a 260pro as my "big" saws, and I think I'm more particular to the Husky.
Is the 2.0 HP of the 336 adequate for cutting oak pallets? WIll the upcoming 339 be a big improvement (essentially a 334 vs a 338) ?
