I'm buying a 338 and wondering what others experienced with the muffler blowing onto the hand. I noticed this "design flaw"
as soon as I picked it up, but as I am left handed, it would not be as bad. ( when the saw is cutting sideways with side handle on top the exhaust would burn up a right handed person.) My dealer in Round Hill, Va, when asked what husqvarna was going to do about it, called his supplier and found out they now can provide a guard, which he ordered several of, and will not sell the saws without! I thought that was pretty cool of him. He was annoyed that he heard about from me and not them.

This saw has the same HP as a 020, so I am looking forward to trying it out.
Anybody else got one?

treeslayer,

Can't offer anything regarding exhaust on the hand, or much on the 335 or 338 in general, since while I have run a 335, I've never owned one, and have not yet run a 338 at all.

I can say that I am very satisfied with my new 200T and will be buying another soon. 3-screw adjustable carb, and good power and torque once the muffler baffle/screen goes, basically making another port, as far as I can tell.

Surprising that the Husky would go to full production without them figuring out they needed the exhaust shield earlier. Better late than never. ;)

Let us know how you like the Husky.
