picked up this little baby today when i went and asked for a price on a new 395 in my local dealers to ease off some work on my old 288, he had this one at half the price up for sale so i thought it would be rude not too
any ways does any one know what year husky changed the chain brakes around i figure this at the moment to be a 03 model?

Looks like LP chain, one of the best there is - those small ramps in front of the rakers doesn't hamper normal cutting at all, and it is better than LG and RS/RSC for bore cutting, because of the narrower rakers.......:biggrinbounce2:

no mate,i had a new 36inch bar and full chisel chain put on it.
Any ways shes goes second or first pull ...took her out for a practice run and it revs alot more than the 288!...need to give it a good run against it to see if it has the torqe of the 288 though

Just a saying, like a kid walking home from school who has a dog follow him home and "adopts" him. Many people here have been known to drop a saw off at the shop, and take one home because it needed a good home. Or, walked by a garage sale, or, what have you.

Real chainsaw guys have very little self control with this issue, so you are a "real chainsaw guy", should anyone ask. My Super XL "followed me home" from a garage sale. I was $20 poorer and one saw richer.

Nice saw BTW. Whatever the job is, that one will do it.

Quote the serial number, and it will be easy to determine how old it is......

It is made 2003, week 23, and probably a monday saw - lol.

Well, if chip clearance is a problem, RS/RSC/LG is a tad better, maybe - but RSK is even better.......

wow thanks! i would love to know how you did that! must be a monday saw as ive had a few friday ones that only last a year pretty sure my 262's where! the saw does not seem very used though,apparently the person who brought it in exchanges all his gear every 3 years no matter what condition its i or so i was told.
hopefully it will last a few more!

would be evan better if the saw was in the USA ,us europeans have to pay double what you guys do on a new saw so this one only works out at the price of a new saw in the US............Any body want to import me a new 346 for a bit of cash let me know!
