A while back I seen a video on YouTube of a guy saying his husky combo tool caused his saw to cut off to the left over time. I thought he was doing something wrong until today when I was setting the depth gauges on a 3/8 Oregon full chisel that has about 1/3 life left. When trying to file the right side, the rivet that the depth plate pivots on was sitting on top of the cutter raising the depth gauge.

i've always just eyed my depth gauges. my chains always cut fast and smooth. good enough for me. i think the husky combo file guide is the biggest POS to ever exist though. it helps people who don't know how to file worth a damn but it impairs my chains.

lol, been in camp the last bit. back for now until something opens up. that company only got 2 weeks cutting left on that job before they start flying logs so i'm gonna just wait til they get the next job fired up. i'll check out the F@L forum. is bitzer and his mentor still talking like real loggers? lol

Me too, I did a 30 hr stint for Parks Canada and sliced and diced 30 cords of goonwood for the campground. First time I made 65$ an hour in some time. The BB 372 did the talking.
