I think you need to take the throttle off, it's been awhile so I might be wrong about that, install the spring with the L part at the bottom, pointed towards the rear of the tank, and slide the pin in. Now put in the operator presence lever and install the pin for it. After that, put your throttle back on. Pic is of an old tank I have lying around to show how the spring goes.

Thanks so much for the help, will certainly try with the spring as you suggest , I need to mention that the trigger lock wasn't working, hence my taking the complete thing apart. I thought that there might be a part that was broken off, but can't see anything obvious, so I have ordered both plastic parts and the presence spring, regards thanks David

In a minute I'll make a video of putting the Throttle lock in.
Thanks so much for your fast reply, my apologies I had the spring upside down, it now fits, but no locking action, I think that it possibly is as I suspected that one of the 2 plastic parts is worn? I look forward to seeing your video regards thanks David

Thanks for the message and great video, so the trigger "system " now works, except the locking part doesn't work have tried a new presence lever, still not locking, have just received the new trigger, so hopefully now it will work regards thanks David
