Hey all, just picked up a really nice 372xpw OEM 75cc saw and wondering if it will be hard to get top end parts if I should need them? Hard to find info about them. I know it was the top end used in the cutoff saw back then but even that is hard to get parts for. So that being said is there enough of a performance difference to chase down parts or just make it a OE 71cc variation at that point. Thanks! 20220822_185011.jpg20220822_184738.jpg

I've owned the 375K cyl built ones before oem put the bigger tops on W saws to get rid of them imo. IMO nice when ported right.

But today I would not go on the search for the parts when you can snag 50mm.

Matter fact was testing a 375k one ported one out yesterday that was dropped off.

75cc has more grunt, and with a light port job they’ll pick up the throttle snap they’re missing. I‘m running one of those top ends on my 372 and my brother is as well, when the time comes for a new piston Wiseco still makes them. If the jug dies you’d be better off sourcing a 50mm top end, and beyond the p/c there aren’t any differences between a 372 and a 372XPW.

Yes, it feels a lot like my 372 x torq actually or maybe it's in my head. But I like it. My favorite chassis.

Mine too! I used my saw most of last week for a little logging job for a neighbor, while it was a bit heavier than a 562 it was still light enough that I didn't mind packing it around all day and I could single-cut 28" fir trees.

You could always have the cylinder replated as well.

Yep! Just cut with them both again and the 75cc version kept a higher rpm in the cut. And I believe it's lighter? Negligible but lighter is lighter I suppose.

Lighter than an xt? Yes. Lighter period, no. One thing I will say, XPW saws came with blue "stiff" a/v mounts which I greatly prefer to the standard 372 mounts. If you run a 32"+ bar on them it eliminates most of the flop, and even in day to day use it's more comfortable for me.

That saw should live a long time before needing anything
51.4mm Pistons or topend kits still pop up occasionally but are too expensive imho
I had a choice of 2 xpw or 2 50mm oe a few years ago for the same price before they discontinued them again
I just went with the 50mm oe
To get ported
I don't believe anything I could get anything else for my 372s that would would pull a 28" in hardwood like my ported 50mms do.

Yeah it runs awesome and pulls hard. I dig it! How do they do with a good muffler mod ?

Great and there's endless muffler mod styles
I like the 3/4" single tube outlet personally

If you like deflectors
Red97 sells nice deflectors reasonable at 4.00 or so
The last oem 288 deflectors I bought were 15.00
