Didnt get used. Job got canned.

Maybe Tuesday.
Anymore stuffing about and the guy can have a go himself with a kitchen knife.
Why that??? Because it would be a damn site faster than the wee little 'xceed' petrol saw he was trying to use. All the branches he had cut off had burn marks on them. lol Whats worse, it was a green tree.

I told him to shut the saw down and give up while it was still running.
How many tanks of fuel have you put though it??? 3 or 4 he said.
And you filled up the tank for the bar oil?? Ummm no am i meant too he said.
And as an educated guess you dont even have a file or know what size you need to sharpen it??? No its not mine, I borrowed it and the guy owes me money so im going to keep it.

I figured that was enough, a short lesson in chain saw. I didnt want to go into a lesson in economics, chain saw in payment, your gunna stuff it first time using it. Wanna hope he owed you stuff all, got one job out of it, its a crappy chinese store brand saw but it would last a bit if you look after it.

It was only a big old stump left maybe 12 foot high, he had done all the branches so i offered to come cut it down if i could take the wood.
Thats how come i was invited in there, his mrs was dragging branches out, i grabbed a few fat ones and asked her about the burns on the end.

I have a 66 that I have used to cut quite a bit of firewood. It was part of the package deal when I bought my Poulan 8500. Plastic is faded and it is missing the throttle lock, but it cuts well.

This saw is being a bit of a pig to start.

Its compression locking when you try and pull it over.

No smoke so its not oiling the crankcase while sitting.
I gassed and oiled it up and it sat overnight.

Ive even had it kick back on me a couple of times.

Once you do clear it out so it will spin over it starts with little fuss.
First time no matter what you did it wanted to start on just plain old idle. Keep pulling it over, it makes the wants to go sound and then catches on, dies, catches runs a bit longer etc
A few days later it started with the throttle locked open after a bit of messing about.
Using the choke it was making the 'youve got no hope of getting me to catch drone'

Any suggestions?
