Pics? I did a 61 with Huztl parts, moved up to 268 but used the same carb, cause I'm cheap. The saw rocks but is an oil leaker. perhaps I need a new O ring that goes behind the oiler.
Apology accepted and it's water under the bridge. I'm also sorry I said what I said. It's just that, "for real" at the end of your first post got my blood boiling. Maybe you didn't mean it the way it sounded in my head. I don't normally post on forums but wanted to see if it was a common problem and if it was it might help the next guy that thinking about putting 52mm cylinder on an older 61. I'm not to proud to say I f@#ked up and hope that before someone else does the same thing they see what can happen.Glad you got it up and running. Sorry if I bashed ya a bit hard but remember
if things don't fit there is a reason. Time to investigate or ask before damage
is done.
I should chime in that I rebuilt a 61 classic with an aftermarket cylinder (not a big bore) and it starts and runs flawlessly today. I had no choice but to rebuild it. Compression was down to 12o psi and she was struggling with a 20" bar. Now it has power galore once again and good fuel economy. Big bores tend to slurp gas.
I was tunning the carb today so I took a couple of more picsPics? I did a 61 with Huztl parts, moved up to 268 but used the same carb, cause I'm cheap. The saw rocks but is an oil leaker. perhaps I need a new O ring that goes behind the oiler.
