Husqvarna bar modified to work on McCulloch saw??

searched for this topic didn't find it but I've seen it mentioned a few times. What's the Mod? and which bars work easily with Mac saws? :msp_smile: anyone with a pic of the mod or drawing? My McC 450 uses the inner of the two holes to adjust the chain. The outer two holes either fit another model saw or aid in oiling haven't figured that out yet and the rectangle/D slot is apparently for even older saw adjustments. Does that mean my saw might work with a newer bar style/??View attachment 292077

It's not possible to answer your questions without knowing what Mac saw you have, they didn't all use the same bar mount.
 
widen the mount about 1/32"
this will help a bit, the reason i drilled out from the adjuster was for the oilier to use as a channel

Ive got a PM 850 will that husky mount suite my saw , want to get a 36'' husky bar if possible or adapt a bar to suite the saw
