With all the foam filter/velocity stack combos I see on 2100/2101s you'd think there would be an abundance of air filter covers laying around. Where have they all gone? Seems they are pretty difficult to locate...

And if one does come up for sale they think they are made of gold.

I got my 36 from a guy that should never have a saw in his hand ever again. And my 66 off of a trash pile from farmer down the road. I have $50 rapped up in both saws. That being said, you probably are thinking how do I get a deal like that. Well, lol, the answer is just ask. I asked around looking for junk or non running saws. It's amazing how many people have a saw sitting around. Or one they broke and just through in corner. 0724171329.jpgwhy am I telling you this? No idea! Lol. Ask around, you may get a deal of a lifetime.

Built this one today from two junk saws. Figure 444se's are likely pretty rare stateside. This one has a really good mahle cylinder and came together nicely. Big issue on these is that the plug wire runs about 3mm from the top corner of the cylinder and melts through the insulation and it starts grounding out. Lovely little saws however.24862629_845792668934382_2102060785089021417_n.jpg 24862496_845792622267720_3949466285773050308_n.jpg

I don't know if they still are or not but 25 year s ago their commercial sewing machines were the Cadillac of sewing machines. They were priced like it too.
I still have and use one of those Cadillacs, this one is from the 70's,

Since then, Pfaff has long since surpassed them...
