hydralic question

figured this was the place to post this. my neighbor has a hydralic/air ran tire changer. the hydro was low,and he (claims)accidently put gear oil in. now it has no hydro pressure. i was going to try to get it up again but , my questions would be,would the mixture hurt anything(seals?),can it simply be drained and refilled or done several times to prege the gear oil out.thanks for any input,dave.
 
I can hardly see enough difference to destroy the seals. Look for a stuck open relief valve or even a sheared drive component.
