I also have about 8 cylinders to try soon from several manufacturer's... can't wait for them.... one is a big name manufacturer we all know and they want to make improvements to the product. Finding out fast its about what you say, how you say it and who's listening.:msp_thumbup:

Would any of those "what doya think?" cylinders and/or pistons happen to be for a Husky 50R white top? Got a good test mule here.....

I don't know yet... just got the "I'm sending you some cylinders and stuff to try" and that's the ENGLISH version. The first email was in a foreign language I don't speak or understand.. it was a "What is that" moment. I then began to hit my laptop repeatedly... followed by a reboot and was going for the BFH.... someone said... stop, I can fix that!

I'm having a hard time opening your webpage. I'm receiving error 404 or something. I have a candidate in line for when you need a MS390 tested. I'm trying to find if you have aftermarket complete drop in for a 390.

Are you trying to click the small blue one up there somewhere in the banner or my signature? My Laptop doesn't show the little blue one, my sig works.

As far as the cylinders, why don't some of these aftermarket companies ask a porter for some ideas.

In particular, the ridiculous 'chamfers/bevels' they put on the ports. Why in God's name do they let some monkey with a grinding tool completely screw up their cylinders?

The cylinders are machined before plating, there isn't much clean up required of any casting slag. All they need to do is have someone who actually gives a sh!t put in the chamfer prior to plating. There is no need to put a grinding tool inside that cylinder. They could have someone pull a round file back through the intake and exhaust ports to clean up any machining and put a small chamfer on the ports. The transfers could be done by just having a scraping tool run over the edges of the port to clean them up.

If these guys were serious, they would pull, say, 10 jugs off the assembly line, clean them up like I suggest, and then plate them. They could then take one jug with the standard 'monkey' bevel and one jug with the above bevels, take an example of both jugs to a shop or builder and ask him which jug would he use.

I've got a Stihl 034 on the bench right now that I'd be happy to put a "test" piston in.

Please tell me that they are going to have Dolmar 143 pistons, please please please!!!:msp_w00t:

They probably don't know how much of a difference that the machining/porting process can make or break a saw in the HP dept.

All of a sudden, I have a craving for some Chinese food...mmm ding dong dayyyyyyy
