Just had a case opened on an E-Bay item, claimed not delivered. Address was a P.O. box in the Virgin Islands, guy making the claim said that the Post Office was severely damaged. Tracking shows it made it to the Po box, hurricane didn't hit until a day or two later. He wants me to pay for it.

What would you guys do?

Yeah, the gal I talked to spoke in the usual broken English, but she immediately put me on hold, and came back in 3 minutes and said that the case was closed.
Never had that happen. I was just asking what options that I might have.

I recently bought an ebay item. Tracking showed it was delivered on Oct. 6. I wasn't home. and no
package when I got home. Emailed seller Wednesday. Still no response. I then checked tracking info.
I'm in Ma. My package got delivered somewhere in Cretes Ne. I now can't open an item not received
do to tracking saying it was delivered. Had to call ebay. They saw what happened and opened the case.
This was yesterday and still no response from seller.

Yeah, one would hope that E-Bay or someone would start holding the USPS responsible for their screwups. Not always making the seller pay.

I got a case against me for not paying for a bag of cable ties,
I had no cable ties as I contacted the seller and the seller agreed
to remove them from my order, and they put it in writing for me,
showed it to ebay, and they said the case was opened by the seller,
seller again said it was not them, and they contacted ebay on my behalf,
end result I shut down my account,
and found other places that are jsut as cheap.

The first place I shopped at, I bought a bill hook, or a slasher as they are
called here.
It came as expected,
Four days later another One arrived, no money was deducted from
my visa, so I contacted the seller, seller told me to keep it.

Some you win, some you loose, thank God there are still some good people out there.

i dont mind buying off of ebay but i will never sell on it again with people not looking to pay and the likes too much hassle also nice to see another irish member ^^^^

Hi kianio7 , welcome to the forum, lots of good info and people here.

I have never sold on ebay, so had nothing to loose by going elsewhere,
ebay has become a habbit, people automatically just go there, may be not knowing there is
plenty of other places, no points for guessing where google will send you if you are
looking to buy anything.

Don't be telling people we are Irish, Trump will get to hear about us, shhhhh.
