Hi,
Am glad it's available. I'm going on a business trip to London but I will instruct my assistant to prepare and mail your payment which I'm sure you will get in about 5 - 7 business days. I'll add $30 extra for the delay. I can only pay via money order or cahier check as am going on a business trip now so send me your info (i.e full name, mailing address and your phone number) so payment can be mailed out immediately. I will also make arrangement for pick-up which will be after you must have received and cashed the payment. Awaiting your info.
Thanks

also i forgot to say in my ad that spammers will be shot for free!
do you still want it?

Awesome response, only problem is that no one will read it. Your email is already on some computer generated list out there being used for who knows what.

When I list something on CL, if I get a response saying nothing detailed about the saw, like "is it still for sale", I just go ahead and delete.

Regardless, it's still pretty funny.

The last time this joker had this saw listed, he had "Homelite, made by Stihl" as part of his description. This time, everything is the same, but he took out the "made by Stihl" nonsense. Same crazy price. Nice looking SXL-AO, but he's asking 3-5 X what it's worth on the going market...

Yeah Dave, you never know what kind of rifraff is going to answer your CL adds...:D

Is that the right price to pay for one of them kits?

I know I'll need one or two of them.

Those are the reproduction kits being made by Joe Salva. That's the going rate for 'em. Your only alternative is to get NOS diaphragms from Bob Johnson, Discount Marine, or somebody on feebay. OEM diaphragms were usually sold/listed individually, rather than in "kits". Guys here have had good luck with Joe's kits.

Convert to a Tilly HL and be done with it.
Screw the flattys. If ya can't rebuild the
whole carb correctly then swap it out.
You can get diaphram kits but try getting
needle and seats and primers.

Yep. Those flatbacks were good running carbs back in the day but as scarce as "hard" parts are getting for them,
it's not worth keeping them running. There are modern Tillotson carbs that provide as good as or better performance
with an almost endless supply of replacement parts.

The Tillotson HL is actually an older design than the McCulloch/Walbro flatbacks. They're still my favorite diaphragm carbs. I love HL's. The large bore versions of the Walbro SDC and Tillotson HS carbs can run right with the 'standard' HL and flatback carbs of course. The kart and alky Tillotson HL's and the Walbro WB's leave them behind though....

QUICK!! Someone loan me $1000.......... and by loan I mean don't expect to get paid back........

Thing is he says nothing about what was done to it. I am pretty sure mine could look that good with paint. If someone wants to give 1K for it I would sell it as well and mine runs strong, Just saying:D

I saw that a couple of days ago. A little to far for me to go look at. Not that there woudl be anything wrong with that:hmm3grin2orange:

I was going to buy this on the BIN but I only select saws that come from pet free homes:hmm3grin2orange:

Then you won't want anything I have, this place is like Noah's Ark,lol.
