New stihl rollomatic chainsaw

Something does not smell right.......... Stolen, fake or straight gassed??

I am in Roanoke- I might call him just to see what model it is? & what the story might be... slow day.

Everything could be legit, could be selling out a tree trimming business or maybe it was a gift? Though something just does not "feel" right about the description. For some reason I am getting the feeling that the seller is trying to pass along his headache........

EDIT:
Seems that while I was typing the answer had already been found. Now the question is how much is a new 362 worth?

C&R was the dealer mentioned- he does not show under Stihl USA dealer listing but is located on Hardy road. Moneta F&T shows 699.95 as retail with 25" bar.

Or he's waiting for someone to drive out to his place with a big wad of cash, and he's gonna let his son extract it from them like a pull rope.

See it all the time. Seller drastically inflates the new price he paid in order to justify the high cost he is asking for used equipment. That Huskee log spitter only retails for $1099 at TSC, and he probably got it on sale for less.

Yup! :msp_thumbsup:

Thats one heck of a good price. Those chains would be almost double that over here. Just wondering, how bad was the duty on that shipment?

No duty. Out of at least 100 shipments in the last 2-3 years, I've only paid duty twice. Apparently it's a random thing at the border.

I know C&R well and they are a Stihl dealer, matter of fact he is a master tech. He may never admit to it but I have heard he can build one mean work saw also........

+1

My brother paid $999 for that exact model splitter two or three weeks ago, during the "Demo Day" sale at the TSC in Mt Airy, Md.
