Found these 3 chainsaws in my friends old barn. Dont know anything about them. There is a Poulan Pro 18", a Homelite Textron, and a STIHL Wood Boss (024 AVS) in case. Don't know if they work or not. $50 for all 3 chainsaws.

YOU SUCK! You don't find ads like this in YOUR area because someone read the post YOU posted and they beat you to them! The nice looking 024AVS is in area code 757... about 15 minutes from my house, not 804.

Oh man!! I'm not seeing ads in my area, 'cause someone's reading the stuff I've posted about the ads I haven't seen in my area, and beating me too the goodies?? :dizzy:

I gotta start reading my own stuff before I hit the submit button!! :msp_lol:

All kidding aside: When I see an ad for something that might be a deal, but I'm either unable to go for it or it simply isn't my cup of tea, I post about it here hoping that some other AS member will get the deal. I could be wrong, but I thought that's what the thread is about.

If this is pissing off more members than it helps, I'll stop doing it.

Not saying "don't post"... let them chew on it a day or so. Posting within an hour or so kills the chance of a local member scooping the ad. You posted that ad in Chesapeake less than 1 hour after the guy posted it in Craigslist..... and unless someone was sitting on CL, they missed it until this morning. Give enough time for a local guy to check the ads before you put it here.

Think of it this way.... a really good saw posts in your backyard and I post it here within the hour and you didn't even see the ad until you looked here.. Ops, to late, you never got the chance. And if it was a rare saw or one you'd been watching for, for a long time... would be a little upset.

It is first come first served and most know that as well. Your right, that is what this thread is all about! Hope whoever got it likes that 024 super:cool2: Posting ads in YOUR area that you don't want is cool, posting in someone elses area that you have no way of getting to.... you follow me?

Sort of, but not quite.

I'm going on the assumption that, the nature of Craigslist being what it is, deals usually are going to go someone to located close to the seller. They have a big advantage in their ability to get there quicker, to do the cash and carry thing. By posting about a deal here as soon as I find it, I think that I'm increasing the likelihood that the deal will go to a nearby AS member, as opposed to some nearby random Joe who just happens to be browsing Craigslist.

ABSOLUTELY!!!! Not many random Jo's cruise CL for saws, guys who make money flipping saws and collectors do and ALL

65,000 members and 130,000 non-members cruising this board are waiting for you to post!

I'm just asking you to give me a couple hours more than <60 minutes before posting in my area, not much really:msp_unsure:
