Here is a crazy one. It is listed as a Homelite 1050 Super, but from the one pic it clearly is a 2100. Then the paint job is completely different...... People seem to have realized that it is a 2100, and have bid it up to $176 with quite a bit of time left.

Homelite Super 1050 Chainsaw 100cc with 25 inch bar & chain | eBay

I have seen Super 1050 IP's that show a 2100 style 2 piece flywheel cover, but have never actually seen a 1050 so equipped. Maybe that saw with the terrible paint job is one of those...

I think those IPL's at that site are mixed up. It also fails to show the spark plug cover needed.

I looked at that saw listed and wondered if they had somehow fabbed a 2100-3100 starter on it but you still need a pic of the other side to see where the spark plug is located to confirm the ID.

I believe you're right Ric. Probably a mixup when scanning them. As for the red/white/blue mystery saw.......we unfortunately can't see the spark plug (like you said) or the decomp lever (or lack thereof).....

I don't believe you can install the rear cover on a 1050.
The right side spark plug would hit the cover.

Not a scanning mixup. Page 2 of 12 shows a 2100 starter cover coupled with a 1050 rear cover in one drawing. That is some sort of Homelite screw up. Notice that there is no part in the drawing to mate to the rear of the starter cover.

That's just plain weird. Goes along with the Mac 797 IPL that I have that has NO part numbers. Just exploded views with index numbers next to the parts, and index lists that have those same numbers next to part names...

I have one of those same IPL's too.
