Sorry, I was referring to a specific case of wood-router porting. Probably should have worded that a little better.

I know it's fun to joke about his router thing. . . But he's come a long way in his saw work.

I'm all set up for your "California Style" port jobs. I'll even do them for $9

I didn't see one Adult beverage cracked at the last GTG, Which is good, I think you need all your Reflex's & Senses to run a saw, especially if others are standing near/around you.

Back to the little Homelites you got there. I've farted around with some of those top handled Homey's more than a few times. Best I can say is don't touch them, put them on E-Bay, cross your fingers and hope 3 people bid on them. It seems those things either run good, Run like sh%t, or don't run!!!

Before you do anything, make sure the little post the bar rides on isn't broke. I rebuilt a nice clean one once only to find that post was snapped off only when I got it running and back together. That saw was probably the best runner I ever had out of these.

Or you'll get it back together with new filter and fuel lines and new plug and you think this babys gonna fire right up and the recoil spring breaks. Then you take it apart again to fix that and you reassemble and relize you didn't slide the coil wire back into that one piece case and apart it goes again.

I hope the HOmelite guys don't get mad at me, but I hate those saws. Those saws were probably the reason I associated Homelite with junk when I was a kid. If you want to mess with an old top handle, I would go with a Poulan or Craftsman JMO.

At least you got the blower out of it.

Maybe a little off topic, but my dad must have had some of the same issues, as all I every heard growing up is HOMELITE is not worth anything. When you really need a saw to work it will break and leave you in a jam.
Maybe that is why I do not have a Homelite?

My dad ran a couple big old Macs when I was a kid. And I love them. I can remember a lot of swearing and throwing things with thiose Homelites. My brother said he through the whole saw once. I think thats when he went to Sears and bought his Craftsman 2.0, (Which I still have)

I wish you guys hadnt warned him about this saw...if anyone deserves to fight with one of these its him. I want to see what happens when he pulls the engine from the case and tries to get the throttle linkage hooked back up.

There have have been a number of AS members who got off to a rough start here. Some of them stuck around and managed to establish some credibility, while others disappeared. A few managed to post so much BS they buried themselves in BS.

Giving someone the benefit of the doubt is a good thing, the question is how many times is too many? Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times, your name will forever be on my :censored:list.

I blocked him after the last go around...some how its like a bad car wreck...you just have to look.

I with you though..he would be gone if it was up to me. Good thing its not. My opinion is contribute or be quiet....the rest is a waste of my time.

Is this your first post after the whole mess of yesterday? I would answer some of the members questions on here if I were you. Actually, I would be a little embarrased to ever log in here again, but since you did, maybe shed some clarity. As a newer member of AS you AND others are giving it a bad impression on guys like me.
