At least you gotta give the guy some credit for hanging in there and taking it. His skin is getting tough. I just don't get the inventing over investing concept he proudly pronounces.

I can empathize with ol' FTA on this.
I am a firm believer in doing things for myself. Mostly because I am cheap, but also out of a sense of pride that drives me to learn more while I am doing it on my own.
By doing jobs on your own or making your own tools, you often gain an insight not acquired by just paying for something, or hiring someone else to do the job. As a result, I am much more skilled than the average guy that walks in off the street.
