Ignition coil substitute replacement for hard to find Homelite

I stumbled across a forum or something like one a few years back. And this guy was saying if your blue prestolite coil stops putting out spark to put it in the oven at about 180 f for 8-10 hours. I have an old homelite demosaw dm-40 that had no spark so I baked the coil in the oven for 7 hours girlfriend was complaining about the fumes but it worked it has spark again so it worked for me don't know if it works on all the prestolites but it works on most. So it's worth a try just send your old lady out for a day or you will get an earful cause it does stink
