Tom D. and I will be going to NC to work for Guy for around 2 weeks. If anybody in the Triangle area wants to buy us dinner, just give me a jinggle:D.

We will be staying in the Extended Stay hotel in Cary, on Hyw 64 just off US 1. 5th to the 16th. Then we will be going to a conferance in Winston-Salem with Guy.

So are Brian and Wulkie going to be the moderators in your abscence??:p

maybe on the way back. The Vermeer store out on Jones Sausage Rd. was able to fill all our needs. Ox and I stayed around durring the rain to help them sell stuff.

Tell Tobey that they have a crew of hard chargers over there that are doing the partership proud. They deserve an attaboy from HQ.

Make sure to flush off all those ice-splintered stubs.

Hey John,

I actually might have work for you this time! Hee hee, well maybe not. I'm renting a bucket again the 10th through the 17th.

Hope it works out if you come through Asheville again! Maybe this time we can meet!

Yo Mike, there'll be no flushing of anything--except offal material--if I can help it. There may be restoration cuts made at latent nodes as Shigo recommends, however. If you want to post my diatribe on that please do; I lack the knowhow and would enjoy the sage observations from the denizens of this haunt.

Hey Dan Flinn,

Have you had the opportunity to climb any big Hemlocks? There are some old growth monsters at Linville Falls off the Parkway, less than an hour from Asheville. Spooky stuff!

John, Make sure you dont drop anything on the shrubs i hear there expensive in NC. :blob2:

Monkeypuzzle,

I have done some climbing in hemlocks....A little town called Montreat is covered with them. Sad thing is that there is a heavy infestation of the adelgid. Lots of spray work, but I think they all will succumb. Then I'll be climbing a bunch!
