If anyone has a .50 325 bar for a husky I would be interested. 62dl I think but I will go look and see.
I am hoping there will be some fast saws here. I have always wanted to run a fast saw.

Hooooooly crap batman, where did I go? Well I'm back and plannin on 10/2 too. Eric.......Earl has a few dead pines of suficient girth to make sqaure uns. I'll see if we can get em down and cut before the 2nd.

You aren't fooling no one, you got something up your sleeve. I've been to 2 of your GTG's and you never wanted to just cut square wood. So I'm betting you either got a new toy or got one re-worked!!

Laughing at Frank.. I am fresh out of round wood is all.
I am going to try to get a couple of big oak logs brought in by truck for the guys to play with their big saws. But honestly I do not have much round wood left. My son has bucked everything up besides a couple of hickories and I do not want to skid them all the way to the GTG spot by the road.
I ordered some cants last night.

64dl on a 15", 66dl on a 16" for Husky in .325.

Stihl use 62 and 67dl, if memory serves.

I counted and I in fact need a 66 dl bar 50 ga. This is on a used saw I got from a buddy and it has a 58 ga running 50 chain. No wonder it cuts terrible.

Frank it is going to mainly depend on how many people are there. Whether we have enough 8x8s to use 3inches up per saw/sawyer.It will be at least 2 cuts though.
will have a piped class in each engine size if that suits everyone?

I'm cuttin it close for pipe saw, I'm trying to wrap one up, not sure if I have enough time to get it done, if not no biggie but I hope I can so I can run it already. Finishing the pipe today.

You know, going to GTG's on back-to-back weekends sounds like a lot of fun. Just so I don't have to dig back through the thread, where is it going to be?

But, from reading through the thread, it sounds like there will only be wood for racing, not for getting to just try out saws?

That came out really good, to bad you had to mig it, the shape loks really nice! How's it run?

I had to jump back om this one, no way my underbelly pipe is going to be done by Sat. But I did get this one about ready.

Yea... I don't have a tig, only mig and arc. I gained 20% with the pipe. But.... like a :censored: I went back in the saw, now I'm having some issues.... :buttkick: Hopefully I can get it worked out this week if the parts come in on time.

Sorry wendell
I have hosted many of GTGs and most we have had plenty of big wood to play with. But as Sean and others can attest. Takes a lot of work to get it all gathered up. Then you have a big mess behind to clean up after. So THIS GTG is going to be mainly racing type GTG.
I have 6 ten foot poplar 8x8s cut and ready to pick up one evening this week.,
