Good suggestions Jonseredfan6069 and glad to hear your daughter is fine.

Chainsawaddict: I'm not trying to sound harsh just trying to make sure you and your family are safe. I hope you took my statements that way. We lost a family member in a house fire (not stove related) and I just can't keep my mouth shut about being as safe as possible.

Get that chimney above your roof line and maintain all manufacturer clearance specs for the stove. Look into durarock (cement) panels for non-combustible interior installation issues. For more info check out hearth.com message boards.

Always: Burn safe!

thanx shari, sorry to hear about your familly member. chainsaw i'll draw you up what i'm thinking and try to post it, just going out to cut inda bush, yay
i will work on it for ya though. it looks like a ladder system i've built a couple of them for freinds but never took any pics and they live 50 and 100km away
we have high winds also their's is run 20 feet with no problems, square tubing is cheap

Well, I have easy access to square tubing. Not to shabby of a welder, either.

perfect so you know what i'm talking about. if your good with a welder you could fab yourself up something that wood be strong and withstand the winds. the surface area on a chimney pipe is negligible, round so the wind dosen't affect it too much. when done post some pics
