Just wondering what some of the smaller outfits pay for insurance. I'm think what I'm paying seems to be a decent deal, but what coverage do you guys have and what your annual rate?

I've been with my current provider for a few months and luckily really haven't had to do any "business" with them.

Just curious.

Cheers

950 a year 1mil liability 500k medical accident coverage coverage on equiptment dump trailer chipper saws not truck though. I know someone w 3 mil he says he pays what I do that doesnt cover equiptment though and he has Ben In business quite awhile.

What are the names of some of the companies that you guys are with? My agent had a hell of a time finding someone that would cover me.

12 months. Sorry about that. From what I hear newbies pay most, obviously. However sometimes cant even get coverage. My ins company wanted to know who I worked for first.

What they actually said was it would be pointless to work up a quote, because they required that I have my house and auto insured with them before they could write a policy for anything else.

Prolly just the local agent trying to drum up more business. I ended up getting a 1.6 M policy from another company for $540, that was 10 years ago, now it's right at $1050, and I've never used it.

After reading some of the replies to this thread I'm ready to start shopping around.

I went through Lee F Murphy here in minneapolis. They underwrite for West Bend / NSI, and are very reasonable.

I think i pay around $550 for 2million in liability, and another $100 for tools. They just wanted to see one year of loss runs(no insurance claims)
