Bought this off the internet last week. Guy told me he'd get it in the mail Saturday 07/07. Geez. I have it bad. I have been looking at carb rebuild kits, full-wrap bars, decals...I need to get a grip. I have at least ordered a bar and chain for it so I can go cut something as soon as it gets here. My 137 just doesn't fullfill the need if you know what I mean.

Made in 1992, owner assures runs like crazy, he just has too many saws so he sold one. This is going to be my saw for big frozen spruce this winter, and/or ones that are close to the edge of the river (I can carefully lever 6 foot sections into my boat). The 36" bar should be more than enough for sectioning clean stumps washed up on the shore's. They burn nice and slow.

Maaaaaannnnnn...I hope it gets here quickly.:greenchainsaw:

I've been found out! A 394XP, I didn't want to exactly post I'd picked it up off eBay, I didn't know how you guys feel about that sort of thing.

Serial number is 2400231. I am confused with the parts catalogs though, on www.partstree.com there is a 1992-01, and a 1992-02. Soooooo...which one is it?
First thing is to check compression, then disassemble it and clean it well, making a list of the little things that need replacing. Yeah I want those big dogs on it too, and the full-wrap, decal, mod the muffler (maybe). The only thing that wasn't simply normal wear on the machine is the muffler, owner said it was dented. I'll need to find out how much the local welding shop wants to TIG in two small tubes like I've seen in photos.

I have found a large, clean, waterlogged stump that will serve well as a first test. I'll video attempting to cut it in half. I hate waiting!
