Here's another one...…..seeing these at the prices they ask makes me feel better about mine!!!! It was and is WAY more than I ever have paid for a saw......however it is very low hour and never been in the woods and came with a 36' roller tip bar with new 404 chisel chain....oh...and that saw mill rig.....same price as this one!!!

I've gotta get my 111S pig up and going. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna be disappointed in how it revs and its terminal RPM. I waited a long time to get that saw. I'm pretty sure my Husky 2100 will run circles around it. It's the last time I listen to Internet hype too.....without testing something in the flesh.

Just like the faux hype about .404 square-file chisel chain. That it only cuts well in PNW softwoods and gets dull easily. That's such a load of crap. That chain will cut Walnut, Oak, Maple...you name it, like butter. Just need it on 80cc or better to make it shine. The people that run down that chain never used it or probably couldn't sharpen it. I didn't know what to expect when I moved back to MO with that chain, but it ripped through everything I threw at it.

You just have to get it tuned and set up correctly. If you can find the video of Robin racing Lee you will see there can be a huge difference in 111's.

Yeah and I couldn't even utilize it properly as at that time it didn't have dogs so I couldn't dig 'er in and use the power. Truly that saw had never been in the woods.....the muffler was totally dent free and the paint on the front edge of the flange where the dogs bolt on was perfect. It spent what little use it has had on the mill that came with it. When I was racing Lee we were in 32" red oak and it took everything I had just to keep the front of the saw off the stick. Damn thing is a handful if you can't lean on it!!! She's all dogged up now!!!

AND, if it's RPM you are looking for the no load for the 2100 is 12,500 while the 111 is only 10,100.
I would guess the the "in cut" rpm would also be higher on the Husqvarna.

Yeah, I posted recently real time tach figures on the 80, Husky 2100 and the 2094. I'm not going into a cut one-handed so I can tach/film the saws. Maybe I'll do it with an assistant someday.

In most of the vids I see on You Tube of the 111S, it sounds slow to rev and lacking in rpm. If I can't get mine to hold its own with the 2100, it goes down the road.

Thanks for all the help with info for my 80. I found a NOS clutch on eBay, and the crank seals have arrived. Just need some time to get it all together.

While cruising eBay, I found a Jonsereds K80 concrete saw for sale. It looks just like the 80, but with a concrete head instead of b/c. It also looks to be in cherry condition. Interesting...

I think a lot of people bought these saws with something missing/broke and found out the hard way they are almost impossible to find parts for. And maybe for now, the 111/S prices have peaked or stabilized some. Look at what Scott got and his was complete, nice & running.

You've got all your 621's with what looks like that crummy copper screen filter. Two 90's and a 801. How hard is the 900 series to come by up there?

Hey Scott,
If you have a cutting torch, just cut a dawg with a template you make from another one. I used to do that all the time with just regular mild steel; knock the slag off, do some hand grinding and voila.

I should offer you my 111S back that I bought from you for the same price. But I guess I'll replace the gas lines, rebuild the carb, check the points out, put new crank seals on and see what I've got.

Yes it is, you know your vintage cats. I used to collect vintage snowmobiles until it got to expensive and we lost the storage shed. Saws are a little cheaper and a lot easier to hide from the wife.

Yup still runnin the copper screens. they don't get used very often and when they do the're cleaned with every fuel up. The smaller Jonsereds like the 621's 49's and 52's are plentiful around here but they can still bring a good price, the 70's 80's 90's are harder to come by but they do show up from time to time. Out of the 900 series the most common seems to be the 920 and when they do come up for sale they can fetch a pretty penny if the're in decent shape

Are the 900 series saws fetching good money locally like on Craigslist or are they usually put on eBay?
