Are you looking for the 45e or the early model 50 that was 44cc? Both are rare, but only $100-200 when found. The 66e is less rare and usually in the $200-300 range. And of course, as you know, condition is everything.

Magnus says there was a 44, export model only. That's a new one for me, and it's not on the Acres site, either, but if anyone would know, it's Magnus.
If anyone has or runs across a 66 for sale or trade, please let me know.

If anyone needs correct size solid rivets for vintage roller tips, let me know. I have a pound of these on the way from Hanson Rivets in California and it will take me 3 lifetimes to use all of them.

This guy finally showed up today from BC. Really well packed and exactly as advertised. We had some discussion on whether it was a 90 or actually an 801 due to the plugged decomp hole in the cover. Well....it is a 90 with the decomp plugged and the piston is scored as was stated but other than that it's in pretty darn good shape for a large pro saw coming out of the PNW. I just happen to have a great used P&C set I got from DozerDan a few years back.....it's just sitting there all bead blasted and ready to go. Will have to take it down and clean thoroughly and give it a new set of NOS crank seals and I'm sure there are a few other things to attend to bringing it back to running order......but nothing I won't have in stock I'm sure.
This is just the way she came out of the box!........Oh and I forgot to mention the inside of the fuel tank is perfect!!!!!

Yes it is......it shows signs of wear and tear as one might expect from a near 40 year old pro saw but is in overall good condition....well...except for the scored P&C!!! I think it will clean up nicely. So many of these old mag saws have fuel tank corrosion from sitting around but this one is clean as a whistle inside...good start to nice project...

There is a discussion about the 44 on Magnus's site. Apparently a guy from Finland said a distributor was selling them there (in 1972 I think) and badged 50 cc model 50's as Raket 44's. Ah, the infamous 510sp. People either love them or hate them and the line tends to follow usage. Pro hated them, homeowners loved them. Yours looks to be low hour and well cared for so it should be a good one.
The 2065 and 2171 have a solid reputation that speaks for itself. Again, yours are nice examples. Nice finds!

I have heard of some of the hate for the 510. What do people hate about them? It seems to run great for what it is.
They are prone to air leaks and it's like plugging a dam. You stop one and the air finds another way out. You can easily put much more into one than it's worth.
The main problem was they were not as durable as a 49sp which is what it replaced.

Ah, well for now anyway, mine is running great. I only paid $2.40 at a yardsale for it too, well technically I bought 5 saws for $12.
Let's put it this way....it was not J'red's finest moment....that series. Back in the day, Robin told stories of them sitting on the top of dumpsters....from disgruntled owners and no real factory 'fixes'.
Fortunately for us all, the name lived on for yrs after that.....even if they were mostly Husky clones.
