Don't they have a 2147 that is the same engine as the 346 XP, but in Jonsereds clothing?

you are right about the 2147 it's the same engine, just other plastic :)

Well hopefully they bring it here soon, I thought I had heard they were already, but it isn't listed on their canadian website, so I guess it is but the site hasn't been updated, or it hasn't made it here yet.

Cant understand why its not there (if so ) ,, since the 346xp/xpg is so popular ,,, weird :dizzy:

The 2147 Jonsered is not the same as the 346. It has a 2.7 motor but has a plastic crankcase housing.

so a 2152 should be close to the 353, but would the 2147 be the same as the 350? Like I said before there arenot many Jons. around here so I donot see many here but will likely see more again cause Gibb says we are out of 372's again so he brought in a bunch of 2171's

The 2150 is the Jonsereds version of the 350. If the 2147 has a plastic crankcase, then it some other beast entirely.

then maybe the 2147 is the husky 345 , that makes sense . they sell a pile of them here and once Husky started putting good bearings on the crank we have had no trouble

The 345 in Jonsereds clothing is the 2145. I still thought I had heard that the 2147 was the 346 in Jonsereds plastic.

Where do you have that info from?

I am quite sure that you have got some false info, the 2147 is basically the same saw as 346xp, with magnesium crankcase.
Jred equivalent of the 350 is 2150, and the 2145 is the equivalent of 345.

Timberpig has got it right.

I have a new 2147 Jonsered setting in my shop and it has the plastic crankcase housing. It's a cheap homeowner saw.

thats not the case with the ones here in Sweden ,, cant figure out why your has a plastic crankcase ,,

Are you sure that saw isn't a 2145?

:alien: A 2147 with plastic crankcase is simply too odd to believe - unless someone at the factory has turned mad, of course. :dizzy:

I recently received the latest 2005 catalog from Jonsered for Canadian products.

It does have the CS2147 in it available with or without heated handles, with or without heated carberator, with or without catalytic exhaust also.

The specs are identical to the 346XP except it has better anti-vibe on both front and rear handles and it sure is a whole bunch prettier also. Darn right beautiful in red and black compared to that all ugly orange husky uses.

However CS2147's apparently were not being imported in to Canada.

Pitty

Can't verify crankcase material unfortunately. :dizzy:

Jonsered also have a real interesting model in their CS2156 also available with heat etc. plus compensating carburetor and nice anti-vibe ratings on it.

I saw the same thing Lobo, but could not find if the 2147 had the quad transfer ports as the 346xp.
I called the Jonsered office in Quebec, but my contact has not returned my call.

Here in Canada it is an importer independant of Jonsered, they are not the quickest to reply I agree with you. But I still really like their saws.
