Jred UK has a newly disigned web-site that is a lot better than the old one.
Look up the 2147 here;
http://www.jonsered.co.uk/

It shares the OManual with the 2152, and I don't think that would have been the case if they didn't share the bottom end.

As with most other smaller saws, it weights a bit more than its Husky counterpart.

Or are they just a bit more honest in their weight ratings for the Jonsereds models? I thought I remebered a few threads a while back about how much Husky was under the actual weight of their saws because they left parts like bar covers off to give a lighter than actual weight for the catalog?

Careful....my Husky saws and KTM off-road motorcycles are orange. Orange is good (and fast!).:cool:

All Orange is dammmmm ugly !

Red and black look sleek, and fast to me. orange, fairly fast, but not quite like the red and black mixture.

Can't beat the looks of red and black
Ed, did you get my email?

I am treating a couple of queers with the same ''' I know it all , I am the best'' I am the king of the ass hohole world syndrom presently. They are now in for a minimum 30 to life ( heaven forbid an accident ) and you are claiming what as your fame.

G, where the hell are we heading to !

Tennesee Stihl: are you sure that you aren't thinking of the 2137, not the 2147?

The 2137 IS one of those lightweight Poulans.

I think we'll be slow to see the 2147 here. Husqvarna distribution here in N. America doesn't much like to Jonsered; if they had their way it would be gone. Unfortunately Tilton wrestled a contract out of E-Lux years ago and Elux must adhere to the rules or buy out the contract. Husqvarna's only trump card is to be able to keep some of their best sellers out of circulation in red for a while.

The 2156 is now available, I'd not expect the 2147 until next year. Husqvarna's larger air cleaner in the 372 isn't much of an advantage now that they all use the cyclone air cleaning to reduce the junk hitting the air cleaner, and the local Jonsered dealer is quick to note the fact that he can still get 2171's while the Husky guy has the new, heavy 545 and 575. I think Husky out in Virginia must be fuming...

I know some tall guys that like the 18 in bar on their 45 -55 cc saws. They say that it is easier on their backs since they don't need to bend down as far (compared to a 16 inch bar and chain.
