This is for all you Jonsered owners.
What makes Jonsered a premium over Husky Stihl and the rest
yes i am well aware that Jonsered is made in the same factory as a husky but tell that to some of my customers and they will still say red is better.
I am not looking for a compitition with stihl, husky, homelite owners telling me theres is better, just why Jonsered owners like Jonsered best.

A saw is a saw, and it must cut. Ford vs. Chevy vs GM. What does color have to do with the way the saw runs? Get over it. They are the same saw in differant colors with a straight handle. They are not widely marketed in the US. I have one red version and may have another one soon. To me, it isn't any difference between the orange version, other than the angle/straight handle bar.

I also have The other brand. Guess that means I have a mopar, AMC, Chebbie, and a found on road dead.

Chevy versus GMC, Ford versus Mercury, etc.

I will try and play nice here. Why is Ford better than Chevy? Because I say it is! Why is th Cummins twice the motor than the Powersroke or Duramax and will last at least three times longer? Because I say it is! None of the saws on the market will ever run like the old Remington I used to run, why? Because I say so!!!!! Can I prove any of this? NOPE But I can still say it! Most of US cars are made in Mexico, and most of the Japanese cars are made in the US, this I can prove! But people continue to buy from the big three because they are made in the US?!?!?!? It's human nature, whatever you own is the BEST EVER, otherwise you wouldn't own it, right?

not shooting for a war

ill be Honest i am looking for help in opening up new dealers in my area.
Not who is better or who is best (i have a stihl i used for years in my shed too) Just for owners of Jonsered to tell me why they like Jonsered better.

If Jonsered were still an independant company, I KNOW there would be some good saws in their lineup.

I chose the Jred when I got one of my saws because it was a POWERHOUSE of a 67cc saw. I really liked it then, and still do. it performs quite well, and cuts like an ape on crack.

its the same as a husky 268, but its still a sweet saw. cant argue with high power in a midrange saw.

If they are made in the same factory who is making who, or are they two different brands owned by the same company using the same factory, please verify?????

well i personally think the two tone black and red jonsered saw is a better looking saw than an all orange husky. but all the swedish saws are great. i even like the looks of my yellow and black swedish poulan pro.

I have never been given the opportunity to tour the location but my understanding is that they are both manufactured on the same complex by electrolux but on different lines but they share many of the same parts and there OEM parts are made by many of the same vendors. more parts are different than are the same but many cross reference all in all they are owned by the same parent company and both in husqavarna Sweden

Ok , I was wondering about who made who, apparently each is there own on different lines, makes sense to me. If you ever get to go tour the place don't forget to invite all the saw lovers on AS, hint hint............

as a side note

any way that you think i could help any of ya'll out let me know i spend all day in and out of saw/small engine dealers many of who are crazy about saws and know how and where to get rare parts.

Also ask your local dealer if he has a Total catolag put out by tilton equipment it is a wonderful source for obsolet carbs and parts for many saws they stock zama tillotson and walbro along with many cylinder assemblies

I cannot comment on various Jred models as the only model I have had is 3 of the 111S saws. I believe they were the best of the Jonsered models. Here is one.

ok, since the tide has changed a little.. I like my 2186 that you already bashed. I like bigger cc saws with shorter bars, yet can handle the bigger bar when needed. It is a powerhouse for the weight and looks a tad better than the orange version, but if everyone had the red and blacks, then the orange would be the "rare" one...

never bashed the 2186 i love it great to showoff it is a powerhouse. but i only cut on the weekends and for demo and i prefer the smaller saw for weight. also i might just be a puss????:chainsaw:
