Well, as the title states I just bought a Brush Bandit 200. It is a 1990 with a cummins 88HP motor. Runs good, just serviced, ready to work, and boy do I have the work for it.

What are peoples experiences with this model chipper?

Anything I should watch out for on this thing, I haven't picked it up yet.

Back in the day I dragged brush to a spanky new Bandit 200 series.

If myself and 2 others could drag it to the machine, it would chip it.

12" fir trees limbs and all? No problem.

We would chip 4 chipper dump beds (Bucket truck beds) full every day and the Bandit never even farted.

Grease is cheaper than parts.

Congrats, and good luck.

glad to hear, hopefully it helps us grow our tree removal side of the buisness. That was always the toughest part, having to line up jobs then go rent a chipper for a day and you need it for 4 hours

Can I borrow it for the other 4 hours?

I have a 1987 Brush Bandit 200. It also has the Cummins engine. Other than it needs sandblasting and painting, it has been a very reliable chipper for us. Just keep it greased, the clutch adjusted up properly and good sharp knives. Also every spring we do a complete service on it. The only other thing I wish it had was a winch.

sweet baby Jesus. 1987? How many hours are on it? This is awesome if the thing is still running like a champ.

Congrats!!!! bandit makes a very nice chipper, I love mine.......oh, and like they say, keep it well greased, dont skimp

Good machine

My 1993 model has been an excellent machine. Issues I've had come from neglect for the most part. Grease, oil and filters can save you a lot of money.

Well I have put about 16 hours on it in the past 2 days, had a little chipping to catch up on.

Only one problem so far, the set scews on the bottom feed rollers loosened up and the key fell out of the hydrolic pump. Realigned the feed rollers, tightened the set screws, put a new key in and it has about 14 hours on it since then, and has worked flawless. So far very happy with the purchase. A friend of mine is actually a mechanic for Tyler Equipment, who is a bandit industries dealer, so he is supposed to adjust the clutch for me, because I have no clue how to. I have never had to.

Heres some pictures of the chipper on the newly converted leaf box

Looks like it's in good shape. Is that an f-350 chip truck there? I have one similiar 12'x6' chip box. Hope it serves you well. Takes a few times to get all the kinks etc out of it. Just keep the grease to it when needed and knives sharp! (and all other reg stuff)

I have been doing trees for years, now its just time to step it up and start getting some real tree work and stay buisy. We are no rookies to trees, just rookies to full time tree work. Itll take time, but it'll work.I plan to go to get my arborist also
