Allrighty then! Didn't see that thread... good luck kid. Loggin' is butt-kickin' work. Stay safe... and do what the Saw Boss tells ya! Remember... you start messin' with the veterans out there... it will come back at you tenfold! Don't ask me how i know...:biggrinbounce2:

New saw

I started logging bout 1 month before school got out bcause i finished up all my classes......yep its got full wrap handle and big dogs are on the way......i love workin in the woods.....my grade point average was too low to go to college but i can take comutiy college classes......my dad owns the biggest concrete company (55 trucks) around here on the coast so i didnt want to rely on my dad for everything so i figured id get some discipline for myself by working for someone else for awhile.......it'l be good for me.....but i'll go back to runnin one of our pits next year......but i love running saws......i chose the 660 cuz my boss has one and i just love running it and the grad money was availble so i bought one.......i love the advice and conversations on here.....you can learn so much......

Have lots of respect for that 660.
Listen to the boss at all times.
And don't skip out on the schoolin'
Good Luck!!!!

You were green once? Say it ain't so Gary!
:(

As much as I want a 660, I'm not dumb enough, anymore, to do the work needed to justify a beast like that...

I'm jealous. Congratulations.

congrats on the saw, i just got me one a week ago, be careful out there in the woods, and remember-its not the tree that you are cutting that will hurt you, but the one next to it. have fun in the woods, and always listen to the vets

Congrats on (barely) graduating and on the new 660!

What's the old saying? D's get Degrees! (Or Diplomas in Tryon's case)

Just funnin ya man, Welcome to AS!

Take heed of the advice offered from all quarters (just be wary that some of it won't always be 'good' advice.) Have fun in the woods and be safe with that big 'ole saw.

Later on (after your back doesn't feel so young anymore ;) ) don't give up on higher ed... get some business classes and -in school or not- learn all you can at every opportunity.

GREAT CHOICE!!!!

Screw laptops.. they are obsolete in a couple of years and worth nothing.... the 660 on the other hand... is priceless...
