Luckily my 61 didn't need a piston/cylinder but that's about all it didn't need..
My favorite saws is the 2 seriesI pulled mufflers last night. The 266SE is toast which I had figured. The 266xp, unfortunately has been dug into. Jug is loose and piston is missing. I’ll do into it deeper at some point but that was disappointing.
The 044 has a perfect piston as do the 272 488. 3 out 5 isn’t bad.

I know of the hate for china am parts
But I've built some strong running saws
Using only the oem 266/268 and 272 cylinders
And running hyway popup pistons
And dual port muffler's
It's a nice gain over stock
But to each his own.
