I always have my spyderco knife on me. I use it for a million different tasks. I have a leather cord throw the hole so I can easily remove it from my pants pocket even with my climbing gear on. I am a climber/foremen and my bosses are always calling me, so I have to have a cell phone(military grade) on my belt even when Im climbing up in the trees, Often getting a call 90 ft up a Euc. (or where ever) Pain in the rear? yes. I also carry a small folding saw with me all the time. It has many uses both on the ground and up in the tree.

I carry this one in my pocket. It does not have a handy way to tie it to me though. It is a CRKT rescue knife (the difference is the orange handles). Opens easily enough. Has a double locking feature that prevents the blade from closing which I like. I may have to look into a Spyderco and leave this one as a carry around.

It had good reviews and seems better than any knife I have bought before, but I have not bought many knives. Anyone have an opinion good or bad on this one or CRKT?

3 and something blade already 1/4 inch reduced by sharpening. Looks bigger in the picture than it is in reality.

Cut my index finger to the bone when I was 16 so lockable blades only for me

I love getting phone calls when im up a tree. When they ask me to shut the truck window to keep down the wind noise I tell em I'm 30m up on a piece of string. The punter's love it!

And I'm not giving up my swiss army knife. Ya never know when those tweezers will come in handy.......

3 things that always go up with me are #1 my Benchmade 154CM I got issued when I was in Iraq..the BEST knife I have ever seen or used..never rusts, holds an edge..and I love the fully auto knives(only military and law enforcement allowed to have em)..#2..my cell phone for an emergency #3 my leatherman for all those crazy things we run across when we get up there..
