I've trusted the double fisherman's for years.
However I can agree with a splice... ( Cost and/or knowledge do apply)

and go with "Strangle (Dble.Strangle) Noose",
which more aptly names the knot?

Noose makes many people uncomfortable, scaffold is much better IMO.

ANy contractor who does not care what his clientel thinks is just shooting himself in the foot.
