Are you telling me man walked the moon but can't make a set of blades to turn a wood chipper into a leaf sucker? At least of some sort.
It seems plausible, maybe a different kind of blade?
Do those big township leaf suckers chop it up good? I probably need one of those next... just for my place. 1500 sound right? Ahh, I probably end up with a 200 dollar troy bilt off of CL but man I want something that it really going give me some easy instant gratification. I give it another 2 weeks before people call desparate, and willing, to pay. I don't mind doing leaves, usually people call me because they can't find anyone else, by the time they call me they NEED it done. I guess they couldn't find the right mexican, uh , I mean guy.

look in your dr catalog

dr makes a chipper shredder vac and also will sell the blades for it and other non dr rigs.

I just picked one up from lesco the other day and it was $2,500+ tax. I don't do many, the big ones are for tree customers...

chippers are no good four that rocks that's said it all tom trees

Just the sand and pebbles will do it.

It is the difference in materials and purpose. You need hard sharp blades for the wood chipper, which makes them brittle. The leaf shredder can have softer metal for the impeller/chopper blades that cost less and will stand the beating, work longer somewhat dinged up.

I dont do enough fall cleanups to warrent buying a big boy I just use a walk behind billy goat for small jobs and to finish off cleanup of stump grinding. Those of you looking for one I would look at a Salsco, I have seen their leaf vac at a few shows and that thing is built like a brick shart house!

I got one of the truck loader types that hang on the tailgate of my chip truck and has a 15ft 10" diameter hose and I just tarp the leaves to the truck, I also have a system that mounts on the back of my mower that has it's own engine and such, it came from here but I didn't buy it new, I didn't buy the truck loader new either, I got them on ebay and have less than $1100.00 in them both, they both work great.

I have the same one and we do alot of leaves. Mostly residential so I don't need anything bigger. Leaves royally suck without a vacuum !
