diggin' it on the leg!

I have my zubat strapped to my Ibuki which I then strap to my leg. Much in the same way the dog collar pic showed earlier. When the saw hung off my saddle, I was accidentally pulling the zubat out of the scabbard with the pruner cord. I did it a couple times all the way out and bu'by to the groung. ZOIKS. I was so embarrassed. I saw the velcrow scabbard and it looked so cheap and flimsy I had to figure something out. I diggit' on the leg!!! I catch myself still reaching for it on the occasion, when I am leaning just sooo, I think I feel it hanging there. Oh yeah. Bammmmm! on the leg! So, what do you think? Will liquid nail bond the two scabbards, so I won't have to strap them together? Or should I leave well enough alone?

Rocky Dont worry about what other people think, Just climb rings around them and they soon shut up. Anyway some of the toughest climbers i have seen are the innitive ones who are willing to try new things and to tell you the truth their kits look space age compared to anyone else.

i had one but dont use it as i hate the weight/feel on my leg..biggest load of poop that i bought for a long time IMO...but im pleased some of you guys like it

Here's a pic of my leg scabbard. I just put some velcro straps on it. I put it on my right leg. Works perfectly.

Mike, I don't know what keeps it from spinning around my leg. I pull it sorta tight, but not so much that it cuts into my leg or inhibits circulation. I think it helps to have wide/thick velcro. Mine is 1.5 inches, as opposed to the ones that I've seen manufacturered by (I think) buckingham that have 1/2 or 3/4" velcro.

I'll get a picture of it on my leg and put it up here later this week.

I love my leg scabbard. I ALWAYS know where the saw is. When it was on my saddle, sometimes it would swing over here or over there, and I'd have to sorta find it before I could put it back after making a cut. Now it's always conveniently there and ready to take out and put back.

Try it out!

Sorry, the link above didn't work. If you'd like to see the picture of my leg scabbard, just go to 888888888 and click on the "Leg Scabbard" thread.

It's a shame that this site doesn't let you share pictures that are from 8888888. I thought one of the big purposes of this site is to provide a place where people can learn and teach. Silly that arboristsite is taking steps to slow the learning and teaching process.
