I think this is the best forum...

OK, have at it you guys!

sorry buzzers for the idea, but ASite gets a lot more traffic.

Here's tree number one, finally leafing out. It may be the second largest of it's species in Wa. It's only about 38 feet tall, 148 inches in circ at breast height, and has a 96 foot average crown spread.

Answer yer phone, ya putz....or I'll just keep hanging up ---- as always. Of course that's assuming a conection gets made....

and quit giving the peanut gallery hints, or I'll have to come whupp yer asp:blob2:

Close but no ceegar..

The phone question wuz..what's your GRCS serial? Ours is 343. And Scott said he was expecting 89% interest per week, compounded daily, on the 335.:D :alien:

It's definitely a walnut, just of no variety of which i'm familiar. Locally we only have Black Walnut. That is a beautiful tree you have there. Any approximation on it's age?

Well dang, I don't know! I'm gonna have to start stumping you guys with tropical trees just to make myself feel better.:D

That same feedbar threw sparks on the highway for a short distance when it came off the control. I wasn't with the outfit at the time so I like to laugh. The asphalt grinded an edge into it that you could shave with.:D As for the ding, well I bent that in a fit of rage.

That would've been neat. When its not your fault its a lot easier to enjoy the moment.

Glens, you are the winner!!!

Juglans cinerea.... a walnut cousin... It is the only one I've ever seen, that I know of anyhow. and as you can see, it is one way cool tree!

I know I posted some pics a while back when it was dormant.

Let's keep this thread going, with more trees to id... I've got bunches, but after a 13 hour huge day, I'm pooped...and amped, especially from the leaner we did, and started at 3:45...Pics and or new thread will follow.

aka "White walnut" are moderately common around here in west-central Indiana.

It would seem somebody was able to get a nut out your way without it going bad or becoming eaten.  Try to get a few nuts if it bears them.  The fresher the better.
