Show me your best pictures of your favourite canadian made saws in your collection. I will start it off with my beloved pioneers. The big yellow one is a 1955 IEL HM, restored. The giant (89cc) top handle is a pioneer 450, unrestored, factory chain. The orange one is a pioneer farmsaw, unrestored. Lets see what you guys have got.

Oh gawd. Not a damn pm 340..:msp_angry:
I have one in a pile of parts on my bench right now. NEVER pull the jug off. The main bearing is the worst designed ever, and the slightest side force on the piston dumps the bearings into the case... I had my dad who's an engineer look at the ipl, and he started laughing when he saw the bearing design. It made a wildthing look well designed, and a mini mac easy to work on... :dizzy:

Skilsaw 1629 is a relabled pm340, along with about 5 other skilsaws. There were a few other brandings as well, but they are all the same pm340. I wasnt sure if it was a 1629 or one of the other identical saws, so I just referred to it as its original branding. Either way, I hate working on them... The one on my bench is getting cleaned to nasa clean room standards, painted nicer than original, and living on my bookshelf. I am not even going to bother getting it running... The other one isnt ever coming apart..
