my guess looking at the pic was between 4-5 full cord. Let us know what you come out with. That is not a bad price considering the pulp mills in upsate NY are paying $136 a cord. I can't get anyone to deliver either. Real Estate market is soft right now, so it might be time to start looking for my own woodlot....

:monkey:

It is a nice pile, those larger logs will really make a pile fast. We are paying $120.-$140. a cord tree length here right now. Cut split and delivered green is from $210.-$250.

Somehow i just don't know if I will have any buyers above $60 face cord picked up. I caught another thread about prices where someone said 'raise the price until no one buys it". I don't really understand that theory. I know I have my costs in there to consider. There are some sellers closer to the "City" that charge $80 but that is delivered. Maybe I will push it to $70 and see how many walk away then start lowering it little by little.

more power!!

Yeah -I took a good look at the Big Mama he left me and it might be the excuse I need for a bigger Stihl!!

There are alot of people out there that won't buy something just because its cheap. Sounds dumb but let me tell you an experience we had selling some Christmas trees. We had a handful of nice 7'-8' Red Pine, the last ones on the farm and thought we would put them on the lot and clearance price them out at $20 just to move them. 2 weeks through the season and we couldn't give one away. We decided for a stroke, to put an expensive price on them and see what happened. Changed the price to $55 with the sales pitch that they were the last that were available. Sold them all in 2 days. Why? They figure there must be something wrong with them just because it was cheaper.

People are strange animals.

Well that double load of logs cost me another 500 bucks today. Just had to go and get a bigger Stihl!! MS390 with 20" bar and full chisel (yellow) chain! Couldn't believe the difference from the MS 290 I have been using .
