I still need my one ton 4x4, just did two jobs where I couldn't use the big truck. Gotta have both IMO.

That truck is definitely gay though, looks feminine.. and two wheel sucks.

4x4 is a totally different story, I was gonna throw that in last night but forgot. The truck he posted couldn't go many places that my chip truck could go. A small 4x4 one ton like yours can be real handy on yards and super tight, steep drives. Plus yours is old school and can be worked on without hooking up 15 different computers.

The chipper is hilarious. I remember those things.. is that the one with the Pinto engine? Lmao.

It might not be pretty but it is paid for. It has a 130 hp john deer diesel engine. It will take 12" material all day. I want to get a new chipper but its probably gonna be a few years.

I had a 290 morbark for almost 6 years what a good machine I mean I had the straight 300 too and other than dumping a ton of gas I never really had any major complaints of that machine they all make money if they run right

130 HP JD.. really? Must be my eyes (on my phone), but it looks like this Eager Beaver thing I had to run 16 years ago, was having horrible flashbacks! My bad, yo..

It is a 85 Morbark model 200. First chipper I ever bought, only paid $5000 for it. Maybe put $300 into parts for it. I dont know if it is the original engine or not. Its a beast though. There is guys up north that will kill to get one of these chippers. They love them and dont want a new one with all the electronics and stuff.

You can do way better than that. Nice truck an all, but for the money, you can get a lot more truck. I bought a 78 f-700 for 1500, a 83 F-350 dump, diesel, with a 8.5 western pro for 2500, a 97 f-250 heavy duty for 2000. They are older, but look fine and run great. Easier to work on and parts are WAY cheaper. If your are prepared to spend 15g's You could turn that into a couple pieces of equipment/trucks. I almost bought a 04 F-450 dump with a box on the back for 7g's had a plow as well and it was 4x4. Had a lot of miles, and a good service record to go with it. I backed out when my 06 blew up. I am all about having a nice newer truck, thats my 06, but the fleet, I would rather have older, paid off stuff that, if it gets beat up, I am not heart broken. Older stuff seems to take a beatin alot better too

I called the dealer about the truck. He said the original owner was trying to sell the truck on the other site, but he owed $13,700 on the truck and couldnt get the title. He thought you just got the title and he would pay off the balance to the bank after he sold it. All I can say is wow. Some people dont have a clue. The dealer told me the bed was just put on a 8 months ago and is like new, the dealer also put on new tires and clean it all up.

I would say way over priced for the year, and being a 2wd is a dealbreaker for me.

Plus.... Chevy? :bang:

OP I found a much better truck for in the tree trader a 1999 3500hd 12 ft body removable lids and diesel not 4x4 but same mileage and 4gs less ....

dont be dis'n the pinto engine

thats whats in my morbark 200 :msp_ohmy: small but works well for my app. I never chipped anything over 5-6" before When I rented a 6" vermeer for my weekend/part time biz so I just chip the same stuff I would before but I dont have to mess with all the crotches and for what I paid I really cant complain at all It's the cheapest chipper I seen on craigslist/ebay within 180 miles of me for 3 months so I grabbed it what really sold me was it wasn't a chuck N' duck and it wasn't a 6" vermeer (what a piece O crap)

FWIW, I have a 1 ton 1978 Ford F-350 that cost me 500 bucks, I built a nice 400 (ford) for it with a mild cam, and it will haul firewood, tow my chippers (if I need a second little chip truck), etc etc......, it has a 4 speed with granny low and good heat. Oh, its a mason dump and I build a removable chip body for it...... Total investment: $2200 bucks....and she's paid for herself the first week I had it........

I can think of so many things I could do with 15,000 bucks, and that chevy pictured there would not be one of em....

just for hits and giggles, i went to look at this truck today. It wasnt in the emaculate condition he said it was in. It wasnt inspected, it was leaking some fluids and needed some cosmetic / functional things fixed. Truck seemed to run good and had lots of power. It had a pump that ran off the serpitene belt that was for the guys spray tanks. I never seen a setup like that before. It looked to me like someone took a alum flat bed and converted it into a dump bed with a roof. The tool box behind the cab was awsome though. It had sliding pullout shelves on the driver side and two non pullout shelves on the other side. I made a offer, but he just didnt want to come down that far. If anyone sees a 3500 up to a 5500 dump for sale, please let me know. The good news of the day was i got to fly his brand new 2012 internation altec 75' elev truck. It was awsome. First time I tried pistol grip, took a little to get used to, but my next one will be a pistol grip.
