I'm looking for an enclosed trailer 6x12' dimensions. my price range is up to $2500. if you're local and can allow me to inspect the trailer before purchase that would be great. I'm needing it for a lawn company I'm starting up here. it MUST be lockable.

Good luck to you on that, your price wouldn't buy a used (up) 8 footer here. They keep saying the price of steel went up or some nonsense. I think just about all utility trailers are wwwaaayyy overpriced. Maybe since folks quit driving trucks, and went to the minivan on 4wd/suv thing?

Ralph,

I am not sure what part of Ohio you are in but if you cannot find a used 6X12 for $2500 then I would travel a couple hundred miles. Here in Illinois used 6x12 Haulmark'sare easily found for that. The local farm store sells new lower level ones for $1999. They were on sale earlier for $1799. I will post a pic of their addn that ended last week I will grant you they are cheaper made than the Haulmark but they are still usable.

Hey Bill, I'm personally not looking for one, friend of mine wants one, and was telling me of the prices he's found.

Around here, an enclosed 6x12 ramp door trailer will run you 3500 min. And at that, its not road legal. 3500lb rating in OH, law says it must have brakes, but they don't come with a brake axle. I've seen 10,000 lb rated goosenecks for sale here new ($7500) and not the first brake axle on it. You're not legal to drive it off the lot, but folks do anyway. Here, brake axles are required by law, but considered an option by trailer manufactures. I don't see how they get away with selling them, myself.

Ok, But, why ask on here? You planning to drive to texas or chicago to get one anyway? It's a trailer, not a bucket or printice loader.

Sheez, pull out your phone book, look under utility trailers, call a dealership and get one. Or try your local newspaper ads.

Like its a problem if your thread gets sidetracked? Like you don't sidetrack threads?

Enclosed Trailer

OSA,

How much research have you done locally for an enclosed trailer? I'd have to think finding a local one would be a lot more economically feasible then finding one in another state from a member on here. Are you planning on pulling a 6' x 12' enclosed trailer with that ranger you have? If thats your plan u may want to hunt for a truck first.

I think I would find a farm and fleet and buy that 6x12 for $1999 new. The one Bill G has in the ad.

Brad, I'm buying a newer vehicle, a 94 suburban to be specific. aint NO way I'd tow with my ranger, which BTW, I am going to sell soon.

And I AM willing to drive to get a trailer, so thats no problem.

Enclosed Trailer

OK

Doing a quick search on ebay reveals that there are many enclosed trailers in florida that are within your pricerange. Goodluck in your search.

This is all well and good, but I need a trailer. ok? back to the original topic.

The original topic was wanting to buy a trailer. Exactly when was that sidetracked. You were given options. It is your choice whether you pursue them or not. I guess if you a serious you will buy one. If you are not a couple months from now you will still be looking. If I offered a trailer for $1000 would you actually pay for it and pick it up ?

Here is a link to a internet Haulmark dealer. This is a 6x12 ramp door with 3500 axle and electric brakes. http://www.internet-trailer.com/HaulmarkCustomize.aspx

You will see it runs about $3100, It can be picked up in Fitzgerald GA which is 233 miles from Hudson Florida. Ther are other locations including Bristol IN. If you take a look at the website it allow you to really play around with designs and see what it costs.

Thanks Bill, that helps, I'll probably wind up taking a trip up there and getting it. not that I mind any.

Running a lawn business, and this just makes sense doesnt it? thats my comapny name too. besides, I was tired of the old name anyhow.

Oh, yeah, I almost forgot, I found a company in Fort Myers thats gonna hook me up with a trailer.

Didn't help your looks any - you still look a lot like Willy Nelson. You gotta quit wearing that bandana. What are people going to think when they see you mowing a lawn?

"Man, wooodja lookit that! He must have blown all his money! Poor guy - maybe we should give him a few buck to help out."

On second thought, maybe you should keep wearing it!
