I have thought about using some square tubing in the receiver of the 222 and welding it up to be like adjustable outriggers, but not sure it would even work since most of the weight is on the cutter end.

Has anyone done something like this, and did it help, or is it a flop of an idea?

You need to get dual wheels. Noticed the Carlton in your picture, have one just like it as well as a 7015trx. The 4400 will cut about 3X faster...just sayin:cheers:

but the 222 was only $2000.....

The rayco super Jr. has a steel stake that you can pound into the ground on the front and extend the tongue to work from that position.

I never use either of those features and I don't have dual wheels. You'll learn where the tipping point is with practice and it won't be a big deal.
