the ring that stops the gear from hiting the nose cone was gone. so the gear was being driven too far into the flywheel. works great now, except for the fact that it doesn't want to start in the evening or night when it's cold. however, mid afternoon after the suns been on it for a while you hit the button and starts right up. if it's not 1 thing it's 3 other.
