That's nice looking saw! I have a minty 10-10s that I pulled from the scrap pile. I am a huge fan of this series of macs. I would love to find a pro Mac 700. The only thing wrong with my 10-10s was the flywheel had come separated from the steel insert in the center of it, so when you pulled the rope it spun the flywheel but didn't turn the crank. A flywheel from a parts 10-10s fixed it. Has anyone else ever seen this happen before?

I have never seen any issues with the flywheel on a 10 Series saw.

Regarding color, it is possible to have a custom mix put together, Leeha has a NAPA formula but it is expensive.

For the later Pro Mac says, Rustoleum Sunburst Yellow is a pretty good match. For earlier saws with the brighter yellow, John Deere Yellow is pretty close. I find most Industrial Safety Yellow to be too bright.

Some labels can be found searching e-bay, etc. Joe Salva at Sugar Creek Supply makes quite a few different reproductions that are very good. I usually don't bother with replacing the labels but I keep most saws in their original working condition if possible. I do have two complete restorations; a 650 gear drive and a CP125 but both of those came to me in pieces and in really rough condition so I had to do something.

Ron - The guy I called spent time talking to me. I was led to think that the pieeces could be blasted/coated for a <$100 total. I was looking at a thread by MasterMind** ealier this week ... he paints his parts, then sticks them in his truck to 'bake' them on a hot summer day. I am not made of money, so I am strongly considering a similar route. But this color-blind guy wants to get it CLOSE. ;)
If you're careful you can also use a heat gun to dry them..
