Oh... well dang I already ordered a oil pump. Guess I have it on hand but it won't do me any good cause there is no opening at all

I think I'm going to just tear the saw down, rebuild the carb and fill up the oil part of the tank and see if it leaks to the gas tank. That's the only other way I could think that it would get into the crankcase. I did notice it leaking into the housing there aren't any other openings on the cylinder or crankcase on these saws are there?

I hate to keep putting money into it but I only have like $30 not counting the bar and chain so far so I'm not really that bad off. It's a good saw when it runs and if I went and bought a new top handle I would be a whole lot worse off price wise.

Edit: the crankcase bottom does appear to have silicon holding it instead of a gasket material I took the bolts out yesterday to see if I could get the bar and chain oil out of all of the engine, and it wouldn't come off. I didn't want to pry super hard but with firm prying it was on there. So I just torqued the bolts back down and leaving it alone.

Is a pro Mac 55 worth picking up? Auto oiler doesn't work. Is it just like a 10-10 in that regard?

I have a mini Mac with an oiler on it if you want the carcass. Only catch is you have to take all 3...

Depending on how good this saw is when it's running I may hit you up on it. I bet shipping would be a killer. Thanks though for real!

Brian - PM55 is a great little saw, I have one with a NOS cylinder and piston and it really rips.

tpence - you can drill a small hole through the bottom of that oiler base to open up the pulse passage, I have a least on NOS block in the attic without the opening that has those instructions with it. If I remember over the weekend I will try to pull it down and make a note of the exact hole size they recommend. I don't think it is really critical, except to stay away from the O-ring channel so it will still seal.

You can have this entire pile for whatever shipping is. It is 4x mini-macs in pieces. 2x 110, a 130 and a 120.

I have one running and will not get around to making another one.

Since we are on the mini-mac train...

I opened the devil beaver 2.0 up because I didn't remember seeing an oiler. Sure enough no dice.

I don't think you can convert it unless you plug that boss above the auto oiler because that is where the manual oiler is attached to the bar oil port.

Here is a shot of where the auto oiler pulse hole is. I take back what I said about the manual oiler. The connection to that boss on the manual one is just for support I think. I doubt there is a hole or I would be looking at crank!

Ok so no real way to convert it? Thanks for all the help guys I will just run a new oil line to the chain and see how this think cuts with the new bar and chain for now. I will have my husqvarna 51 and echo cs-590 as my primary cutters this one will be cleaning up the tops of the trees primarily right now. May order the bottom of a crank later on to get my oil pump that I bought working.

Edit. Wait.... I just read that again and looked at my pictures. Yes that's where the manual oil hose has a catch in it to hold it by the chain so just take the bottom of the crank off and drill a hole and it will work?

The boss above the oiler area is just a spot where the fuel/oil tank is supported. If you have all the oiler parts it seems doable, you could use the one I have that has a broken boss for the bottom mount for practice drilling just to see what happens.

Piece of cake to connect the crank area to the oiler. The casting is ready from the inside just need to drill in from the oiler side at about a 10 degree up angle, 3/16 diameter.

Got my first load with my mini mac. I think I still need to rebuild the carb cause it doesn't like to crank when it's warm. But it fell and limbed this little tree. I bucket it with my husqvarna 51. Once I get my oiler parts in I'm going to do a complete tear down and clean it up rebuild the carb and make it an auto oiler again thanks to briantutt! It's never going to be a ms200t or anything, but it will cost a tenth of the price and should have plenty of years left with me using it for limbing.

That is a lot of manual oiling, bet your right thumb is sore today.

Mark
Haha not too bad. I kept forgetting too cause it's my first time with a manual oiler so I stopped before I smoked the bar or chain and used one of my regular saws
